Here are some photos
from the past couple months during our stay at Paradise Village Marina in Puerto
Vallarta
Mexico.
Highlights include visits from our Moms.

Kurt with brother Peter and friends, Doug, & Ralph, Katie's friends Hollis & Louise also had a good time as did we with their company. We also appreciate the items they brought to us here in their luggage as we were at our weight limit with all the parts and things in our luggage on our return to the boat March 2.

Some boat projects that got completed while we were in port are: new 24V alternator belting system, bigger inverter wiring, new autopilot remote, new toilet seat, new/used 130% spectra genoa from our sistership Deerfoot II, new fine mesh insect screens, new chain stopper, email on board, new jacklines, new forepeak ladder treads, new varnish pilothouse entry, and hatches, etc.

Kurt also got PADI open water diver certification with a three day immersion course. :)
The 11th annual Banderas Bay Regatta had beautiful weather and perfect winds for three days of great racing. We chose to take the fun easy way to race: on someone else's boat. Kurt sailed on Ma Kai, a Golden Wave 42, to take 3rd place in class.

After taking on 360 gallons of diesel fuel at Opequimar in Marina Vallarta we anchored at Las Animas beach and sampled Ricea, the local hallucinogenic mescal moonshine.
We took a day off all the usual fun to do some tourist activities with a bus trip to the rain forest. This excursion included a canopy tour hanging from a cable 'zip line' and flying 200 ft above a river and the forest floor below.
A stop at Chino's Paradise for lunch and a tour of a Tequila Factory (with tasting!)

We even had a mascot for a few days: an iguana that climbed half way up our mast here in the marina. It finally came down for a drink when we washed the deck.
Katie has been busy squirreling away six months of provisions for our trip through French Polynesia. We will be sailing into the sunset for her Birthday on April 4th.Our next planned landfall is after about 3000 nautical miles at the island of Hiva Oa in the Marquesas This passage should take us about 2 to 3 weeks. We will be reporting our position and weather via HAM radio and this should be posted every day at:

Ralph Largo will be updating our website http://svinterlude.home.mindspring.com where you can find more info on our adventures.
Peace,
Kurt & Katie
